Claire Torreda has always had a passion to care for others. This led to her pursuit of her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Adventist University in Orlando, Florida, where she was awarded “Outstanding Caring and Advocacy in Nursing” and graduated top of her class.
Her career began as a critical care nurse of over eight years at Advent Health Orlando and El Camino Hospital Mountain View in cardiothoracic care. She attended South University’s graduate program and obtained her Master’s degree in Nursing specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her newfound interest in women’s health and education came about during her practicum rotation at a women’s community clinic in Orlando. She has since been dedicated to educating women and men about their reproductive health, family planning, and how to improve patient outcomes.
After becoming a board-certified nurse practitioner, she worked at MinuteClinic before beginning her journey in women’s health at Laurel Fertility Care. Among her professional memberships and certifications include American Society of Reproductive Medicine, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and California Association for Nurse Practitioners.
A few of her favorite hobbies include staying active, photography, and spending time with her husband. On her days off, she likes to take advantage of the beautiful landscape of California and go on challenging hikes. During the week, she loves to exercise and read. She also enjoys cooking and learning new recipes, reconnecting with family and friends back home, and listening to educational podcasts.
